The Infinite Moment
God made the world in 7 days...the famous creation story. Looking deeper than this we see that what it really means is that a moment is infinite yet paradoxically ephemeral. It's infinite in that the choices we make not only effect our "Selves", but infinitely effect others as well.
The moment is in the same instance ephemeral in that with a blink of an eye it's all over. It doesn't last and there's nothing real to hold onto.
All the hate, sorrow, worry lose its addictive power once we pay nonjudgmental attention to them. To truly know that our time here is temporary is to set us free from all our neurosis and to wholeheartedly open ourselves to God's love; sharing it with others in return.
